The judge failed to comply with the law and failed to maintain professional competence in the law when he issued a non-monetary judgment in a small claims case and ordered the defendant to remove a structure from the plaintiff's property. The judge deprived the defendant of his right to appeal the judgment within the ten-day period provided by the law in effect at the time this matter was heard.
