The judge failed to comply with the law and demonstrated a lack of professional competence in the law by granting an interested party a remedy to which she was not legally entitled. Based on the records presented to him by the interested party, the judge knew or should have known the party was not a tenant of the property and was merely attempting to circumvent proper procedures by approaching the judge in an ex parte manner to obtain the Writ of Re-Entry. The judge failed to comply with the law by contacting the tenant to advise her that a Writ of Re-Entry had been issued.
