The judge lent the prestige of judicial office to advance the privates interests of himself or others and authorized the public use of his name endorsing other candidates for public office by when he; (i) endorsed several candidates for local school board elections and other non-judicial candidates; (ii) appeared at several public events to promote the candidacies of several persons to a school district’s board of trustees while adorned with campaign materials promoting their election; and (iii) affixed to the rear window of his vehicle large depictions of campaign materials promoting the election of candidates for the school district’s board of trustees.  [Violations of Canons 2B and 5(2) of the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct.]  Private Admonition and Order of Additional Education of a Justice of the Peace.  (11/2/21).
