The judge failed to comply with the law and maintain competence in the law when she made an oral ruling finding a litigant in contempt rather than entering a specific, written order of contempt. Further, the judge failed to comply with the law and maintain competence in the law, and failed to accord a litigant the right to be heard according to the law, when she issued contempt orders against the litigant for matters about which the litigant did not have the required notice.
